Department Chair Josiane Sreih talks about the role of academia in promoting entrepreneurship.

The director of the Institute of Family and Entrepreneurial Business and chair of the HMKT department at LAU, Josiane Fahed-Sreih, was a speaker in the ArabNet 2017 conference on the role of academia in promoting entrepreneurship. She emphasized what LAU’s institute was doing to provide a link with the industry as well as informed the attendees about the Family and Entrepreneurial program that students majoring in business at LAU may choose as an emphasis. She also spoke about managing the skill gap between market needs and education and gave recommendations on how to engage students in entrepreneurial activities as well as reverse the brain drain that Lebanon was experiencing.
