On Thursday, March 2, the students of the Food & Beverage Concept Development (HOM203) class paid a visit to Phoenicia Hotel where they explored the various F&B outlets of the property. LAU Alumna Tamara Boustany, learning & development officer at the hotel, welcomed the students and took them on a tour around the hotel explaining the various concepts, menus and themes offered by the distinguished landmark. She also gave the students nutrition and hygiene-related information pertaining to quality control and HACCP rules and regulations.
The students had a great chance to link theory to practice during the visit, due to the exposure to the multiple functions occurring at the hotel.
