Dr. Jamal Maalouf
Bio
Dr. Jamal Maalouf (PhD, University of Alabama) is an official Affiliate with the Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network under the leadership of Professor Michael Porter in the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at the Lebanese American University. She is an active researcher in the topics of micro-foundations of strategic management, franchising and organizational routines, internationalization in emerging economies, competitiveness, strategic alliances, and entrepreneurial orientation. Her research has appeared in highly ranked journals such as: Journal of Knowledge Management, Competitiveness Review, and Human Resource Development International. She is a professional member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), Academy of Management (AoM), Strategic Management Society (SMS), and European Academy of Management (EURAM).

Honors/Awards
- Recipient of the Jonathan and Kaia Goldstein scholarship from Harvard Business School (2020-2021). This scholarship was established in 2005 by Jonathan and Kaia Goldstein to fund professors that are advancing the Microeconomics of Competitiveness agenda throughout the world.
- Lifetime member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi at the University of Alabama.
- Life-time member of the honor society of Beta Gamma Sigma at the University of Alabama
- Recipient of the Langston T. Hawley Management Graduate Award in recognition of academic and managerial excellence (University Of Alabama, 2012).
