AACSB Information Sharing Seminar in Beirut
In light of the school’s progression to the final phase of the AACSB accreditation process, an information sharing seminar was organized over the course of four days, from October 19 to 22, 2015, in the Beirut and Byblos campuses. The aim of the seminar was to involve faculty, staff and students in the accreditation process, and introduce them to the standards as well as the progress the school had realized to date.
The sessions were championed by Dr. Salpie Djoundourian, the school’s associate dean in Byblos, who presented the accreditation criteria and showed how AKSOB consistently followed the requirements – related to mission, assessment, course quality as well as faculty and research.
In addition, Djoundourian talked about the specific areas to which the school would give extra attention in order to ensure a successful completion of the process, and she informed the attendees of the entailment of the current phase, particularly with the AACSB Team Chair visit in November.
