Before joining the Central Bank of Lebanon, Mr. Hassan spent more than two decades at the Banking Control Commission of Lebanon, where he led the Financial Institutions and Market Risk Department and managed both off-site and on-site supervision. He also served as Banking Supervision Advisor with the International Monetary Fund, providing technical assistance to countries in the Middle East Technical Assistance Center region. Earlier in his career, he worked in the banking sector.

Mr. Hassan is also a lecturer at the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University, where he teaches accounting courses. He has delivered professional training programs in collaboration with the Université Saint-Joseph, École Supérieure des Affaires, Beirut Arab University, the International Monetary Fund, the Association of Banks in Lebanon and other regional institutions.
