Dr. Ayman Khalil is an assistant professor of Practice in the Department of Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB), Lebanese American University (LAU). He brings nearly two decades of combined academic, research and industry experience in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and next-generation communication systems.
Dr. Khalil earned his PhD in Computer and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Rennes, France, where his research focused on cross-layer resource allocation for ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. He later served as a research engineer at the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes (IETR), contributing to high-impact European projects such as OMEGA.
At LAU, Dr. Khalil teaches across undergraduate and graduate programs in:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Data Analytics
- Data Engineering
- Methodology and Model Building
- Data-Driven Decision Making
He has also contributed to curriculum development in AI, digital transformation and business analytics, while supervising research projects on AI, IoT, smart cities and emerging technologies.
