
Bio
Guy Assaker is a professor at the Lebanese American University, where he has served as assistant dean and co-chair of the Departments of Hospitality and Marketing. He was also an adjunct research fellow at the University of South Australia’s School of Management.
He holds a PhD in operations management and data analytics from ESSEC Business School, an MBA from Cornell University/IMHI, and a master’s degree from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon–Sorbonne. He is also certified in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) by the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI).
Since 2021, Assaker has consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% of scholars by Stanford/Elsevier and was recognized as the leading marketing scholar in Lebanon by the AD Scientific Index. He is a two-time co-recipient of LAU’s Faculty Research Award (2016, 2022), has published more than 50 articles in international refereed and Shanghai-ranked journals, and serves on the editorial boards of several top journals. His research has been supported by multiple grants and fellowships, including the competitive Arab Fund Zamalat Fellowship (2019–2020).
