Bio
Guy Assaker is presently serving a professor of hospitality and marketing at the Adnan Kassar School of Business at Lebanese American University. He previously served as an adjunct research fellow at the School of Management at University of South Australia from 2013 to 2022. Assaker earned his PhD in operations management and data analytics from ESSEC Business School and his MBA and master degrees from Cornell University/IMHI and the University of Paris 1 Pantheon–Sorbonne, respectively. He holds a professional certification in hotel industry analytics (CHIA) from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) in the United States..
Assaker is listed on Stanford University’s top 2% of scientists in 2021 and 2022 as well as the marketing best scientist in Lebanon, according to Ad Scientific Index List 2023. He is a two-time co-recipient of the LAU Faculty Research Award in 2016 and 2022. He has published more than 50 papers in major international refereed and Shanghai journals and currently serves on the editorial boards of top-ranked journals. He is also the beneficiary of several research grants and awards in past years, including the highly competitive Arab Fund “Zamalat” Fellowship in 2019–2020.
