Dr. Joelle Nader

Joelle Nader is an assistant professor of operations and production management who joined the Information Technology and Operations Management Department at the Adnan Kassar School of Business in 2021. She holds a PhD in Industrial Process Engineering and an MS in Industrial Technology, both from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Her research interests stem from her goal of designing, modeling, optimizing, and empirically investigating complex systems, innovative products and processes, emerging industrial technologies, and evolving operations and production management practices, to enhance efficiency, productivity, sustainability, and profitability.

Since 2014, Dr. Nader has demonstrated her multidisciplinary expertise not only through dedicated teaching and pioneering research but also as a distinguished industrial consultant. She has led groundbreaking projects across diverse sectors, including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and chemicals, collaborating with both industry leaders and emerging startups. She is currently an executive member of the LAU Industrial Hub, actively bridging the gap between academia and industry. She also leads vertically integrated projects (VIPs) working with industry partners to design patentable, lean, agile, and sustainable processes across multiple value chains.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nader has received multiple awards, including first place in the VIP International Innovation Competition held in the United States. Her recent research has resulted in two registered patents and numerous publications in top-tier refereed journals and international conferences.
