Dr. Jordan Srour


Jordan Srour is an associate professor of operations management at the Lebanese American University. She holds a PhD in Logistics Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. With a background in both mathematics (BA from Carleton College) and transportation (MSE from UT Austin), her research focuses on data analytics for management problems within the transportation, construction, and human resource sectors. Her research has been published in recognized journals including the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, Transportation Science, Journal of Business ResearchTransportation Research, Part C and Computers and Operations Research.

Executive Training

Dr. Srour teaches Business Analytics as part of LAU’s Executive MBA courses.
Developed and presented an executive education course entitled, Designing Powerful Reports, NBK Capital, December 2012.
Developed course material for a course entitled ITS/CVO Security Awareness in support of the National Highway Institute and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Consulting Activities

Dr. Srour is currently working with the Lebanese Red Cross to identify value-added uses of the data coming from their emergency vehicle dispatch system. Dr. Srour also serves as a technical advisory board member for MindSets (http://mindsetsadvisors.com/). Previous consulting work includes operational advice and technology evaluations for the Beirut Container Terminal Consortium, the USDOT, the Kansas City SmartPort, the Intermodal Freight Technology Working Group, and the Port of New York and New Jersey, among others.
