
Biography
Rita Zgheib is an assistant professor and coordinator of the MS in Data Analytics at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB), specializing in artificial intelligence, data analytics and information systems. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Université Paul Sabatier–Toulouse III in France, where her doctoral research focused on semantic technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT) and healthcare applications.
Her research spans artificial intelligence and machine learning, knowledge graphs and semantic technologies, IoT, trustworthy and explainable AI, and intelligent healthcare systems. Her recent work explores the use of AI in clinical decision support, autism spectrum disorder, hospital resource optimization and data-driven decision-making. Her research has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, including Neurocomputing, Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing and Information.
Dr. Zgheib brings extensive experience in teaching, research, curriculum development and academic leadership. She is particularly interested in bridging technology and business and equipping students with the analytical and AI-driven skills needed to address real-world organizational challenges and support digital transformation.
