
Mr. Melhem Khoury Nicolas
After graduating from the Lebanese American University with honors, majoring in accounting and business computer, Melhem started his career with KPMG in the year 2000 as a financial auditor and moved to an IT management and audit position, assisting in client IT audit after obtaining the CISA certificate. He moved to PwC in the year 2006 to pursue a career in management consulting on a regional level. He managed various types of advisory projects for the clients of KPMG and PwC in business process improvement, IT audits, internal audits, cybersecurity for IT and OT, design and development of organizational policies and procedures, ISO 27001 audit implementation, controls assessment, and improvement recommendations, in addition to management assessment projects, including internal audit controls designs. Industry exposure encompassed institutions in the fields of insurance, finance, retail, manufacturing, and government. In the year 2015, he started teaching as a part-time instructor at the Lebanese American University courses, such as IT Audit, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting in the Finance and Accounting Department at the Adnan Kassar School of Business. Currently, he holds the position of adjunct professor dedicated to helping students pursue academic achievement in business in general and accounting in specific.
On the academic level, he has assisted with several academic research projects in different business fields. He is currently involved with students’ activities that provide value-added experiences, such as professional certifications such as CMA, CPA and CIA, that prepare students for engaging in professional careers.
