Bio
She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Emotional Intelligence from Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) in France, an MBA, and a BS with Distinction, both from LAU. Joelle has been teaching at LAU since 2004 and at many universities, such as the American University of Beirut, Sagesse University, and others.
In addition to her academic career, she is passionate about fashion and involved in the industry. She teaches courses related to fashion and is currently the General Manager of Boutique Marcelle, a family-owned business that imports and sells upscale, ready-to-wear garments to female clientele.
She has conducted numerous workshops and trainings, primarily in her fields of passion: Emotional Intelligence and Fashion. She is the international consultant and Middle East regional expert in the apparel and non-apparel sector for the International Trade Centre (ITC) (a joint agency of the UN and WTO). She currently serves as the “Emotional Intelligence expert” for the ITC, conducting trainings, virtual webinars, and workshops. She has attended numerous seminars and conferences to stay abreast of the latest trends and market opportunities, including “The Global Fashion Management Conference” in Paris. She has created her own course combining “Emotional Intelligence” and “Fashion Marketing” based on her extensive field experience. She has authored numerous publications in the fields of Emotional Intelligence, marketing, and the fashion industry.
