Dr. Tahani Saker

Dr. Tahani Saker is Chair of Palma Hospitality Group, a hospitality and education group headquartered in Doha, Qatar. She holds a PhD in International Relations and
Peoples’ Cultures and was the first Arab woman to receive an honorary doctorate in International Arbitration and Armed Conflicts from the United Nations University in Vienna, Austria, in 2019. She also received an honorary doctorate in International Relations in recognition of her academic, diplomatic and humanitarian contributions.

Dr. Saker began her career with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria, supporting refugees and vulnerable communities. She later founded Tahani Magazine, a cultural publication dedicated to promoting women’s empowerment, education and cultural awareness. In 2020, she established Humanity Work, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, focused on supporting women, children and access to quality education. She is also an author on women’s empowerment, children’s rights and education.

In addition to her philanthropic work, Dr. Saker serves as an SDG Ambassador and Council Member of the UN Global Compact Network Lebanon (GCNL). She has held leadership roles with the Qatari Businesswomen Association and the International Arbitration Organization in Cairo, Egypt, and is the founder and creative director of Tigre Fashion & Beauty, headquartered in Milan, Italy.

Dr. Saker has received numerous international recognitions for her contributions to business leadership and humanitarian initiatives. Her honors include the Best Woman CEO in the Arab World award at the Burj CEO Awards, recognition by the CEO Clubs Network Worldwide as one of the world’s most influential women leaders, and an Honorary Certificate for Women’s Empowerment from the Mauritius National Women Entrepreneur Council. She was also selected as a member of the Forbes Council.

Her work spans business, education, diplomacy and philanthropy, with a focus on advancing women’s empowerment, children’s rights, quality education, sustainable development and responsible leadership.
