Ms. Samar Aad Makhoul
Ms. Samar Aad Makhoul worked at the British Council in Beirut as the Examination Services Manager before moving to Saudi Arabia. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from LAU, an MBA from University of Liverpool and a PGCE from Sunderland. She moved to the British International School where she focused her career on education. She took part in CIS accreditation teams, became an IB teacher, examiner, team leader and workshop leader. She taught at the IB level, ran PGCE, IT and non-IT related workshops, in addition to teaching online courses.
Starting September 2013, she added to her teaching career the role of e-learning director.
In October 2015, Samar got appointed at LAU as Accreditation and Continuous improvement person to help mainly in achieving AACSB accreditation and look for further improvement at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB). She is also part of different committees that are establishing new programs. Samar is also the coordinator of the Beta Gamma Sigma, the most prestigious honorarium society for Business students. She also makes sure the school of Business maintains its standards by recruiting the most qualified faculty members and maintaining appropriate ratios.
Ms. Aad Makhoul is currently a Doctorate student with Durham University. Her research revolves around Artificial intelligence and social media use as branding in Higher education, data analytics and employee relations.
