Ms. Soughit Kouly Abdelnour
Ms. Soughit Kouly Abdelnour is a strategic human resources leader with over two decades of experience building people and culture capabilities for leading multinational organizations. She serves as Regional Human Resources Lead for Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) across the Levant and North Africa and is a member of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa HR Leadership Team. She partners with senior leaders to shape enterprise-wide people strategy, elevate employee experience and organizational culture, drive operational excellence and productivity, advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strengthen leadership pipelines for sustainable growth. She is recognized for translating strategy into execution and advising at C-suite and board levels on people, purpose, and performance. Prior to MSD, Ms. Kouly Abdelnour was Regional Human Resources Director at Deloitte Middle East, where she led talent attraction and acquisition across 15 countries and 26 offices, co-led the Deloitte Partner Matters function (including partner admissions, nominations, performance, development, succession, and retirement), and directed key strategic programs such as Middle East mobility, nationalization across GCC markets, and Deloitte well-being.
Ms. Abdelnour holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the American University of Beirut. She is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma and has completed executive leadership programs at leading institutions. An active contributor to thought leadership, her publications include “Signing the Pact: Accelerating Organizations in Turbulent Times” (Deloitte Middle East, 2020), “Gigantic Strides” (Forbes Middle East, 2015), and articles in Deloitte Middle East Matters and Point of View. She is a lifetime member of the Middle East Leadership Academy (MELA), where she serves on the Board of Trustees (2025–present), served as a board member (2011–2015).
