ABOUT AKSOB CIRCLE
AKSOB Circle is a flagship platform of the Adnan Kassar School of Business at Lebanese American University, created to advance thought leadership at the intersection of policy, community service, artificial intelligence, innovative learning and social impact.
Rooted in the school’s commitment to academic excellence and societal relevance, the AKSOB Circle serves as a dynamic space for dialogue, collaboration and applied knowledge. It brings together faculty, students, alumni, industry leaders, policymakers and community partners to explore pressing economic, technological and social challenges—locally, regionally and globally.

MISSION
The mission of the AKSOB Circle is to strengthen the role of the Adnan Kassar School of Business and LAU as drivers of knowledge-based impact and civic responsibility.
AKSOB Circle is designed to:
- Position the School as a hub for policy-relevant and practice-oriented research connecting academic insight with real-world decision-making.
- Enhance the student learning experience through exposure to real-life expertise, interdisciplinary perspectives and experiential learning opportunities.
- Advance responsible AI and innovation by fostering ethical, inclusive and socially conscious approaches to emerging technologies.
- Serve communities and society at large by addressing economic, social and institutional challenges through informed dialogue and collaborative initiatives.
Faculty play a central role in the Circle’s mission—leading research, shaping policy conversations, delivering expert talks and mentoring students. Through the AKSOB Circle, the School elevates faculty scholarship beyond traditional boundaries, reinforcing LAU’s standing as a university where research, teaching and service converge to create lasting impact.
