Meet the Career Officer

David Matta is the Executive Director of Executive Education and Career Management Services at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB) at the Lebanese American University (LAU). He leads executive education and career services initiatives, supporting student employability and strengthening engagement with industry. David brings extensive leadership experience in program development, career management and strategic partnerships. He earned an MSc in Strategy and Leadership from London Business School, a Master in Psychology (Mindfulness-Based Approaches) from Bangor University and an Executive MBA from the American University of Beirut.

Lina Abou Chacra is the Principal Career & Placement Officer at AKSOB. She is passionate about helping students discover their full potential and reach their career goals. Lina has over 15 years of experience in human resources and career advising. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA, and her MS in Human Resources Management from LAU. She also holds the PHR certification.

Rana Barbar is the Career and Placement Officer at AKSOB. She is passionate about helping individuals grow, develop, and reach their full career potential. She has experience in career placement, HR consulting, and organizational development, where she has supported students and organizations enhance performance, engagement, and workplace culture. Rana holds two Bachelor degrees in Business Management and Psychology as well as a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the Lebanese American University (LAU).
