LAU’s Adnan Kassar School of Business is pleased to invite you to the 19th Annual Scientific Conference of the Arab Society for Economic Research (ASFER),  organized in collaboration with the Arab Planning Institute (API). The conference will bring together leading economists, policymakers and scholars to explore the theme Enhancing the Competitiveness of Arab Economies Amid Regional and Global Developments.

We invite you to join us for two days of policy dialogue and academic exchange featuring sessions on economic resilience, global transformations, infrastructure and innovation, and the evolving dynamics of labor markets across the Arab region.

The program will also include the launch of the Arab Development Report 2025 (9th Edition), The Future of Arab Labor Markets Amid Green Transition and Artificial Intelligence, produced jointly by API, the Institute of National Planning (INP), ASFER and the Tunisian Institute for Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies (ITCEQ).

The report will present critical insights on technological change, labor mobility and the implications of sustainability transitions for the region’s workforce.
