Dr. Guy Assaker


Guy Assaker is an Associate Professor of Hospitality and Marketing at the Lebanese American University. He previously served as Co-chair of the Hospitality Management & Marketing Department at AKSOB. He earned his PhD in Decision Science from ESSEC Business School in France and his MBA and Master Degrees in Hospitality Administration and International Tourism Strategy from Cornell University/IMHI and the University of Paris 1 Pantheon–Sorbonne, respectively. He also holds a certificate in Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a professional certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) in the United States.

He has published more than thirty papers in major international refereed journals. He currently serves on the editorial boards of top-ranked journals and has been the beneficiary of several research grants and awards in past years
