The Department of Finance and Accounting at LAU is partnering with the Bloomberg Institute to offer the Bloomberg Assessment Test (BAT) free of charge for students on campus during the Fall semester. Undergraduates and recent graduates who wish to register for the exam are urged to attend a presentation which will be held on Thursday December 20 at 12:15 p.m. in BB903.
The BAT is a global, standardized online exam that the Bloomberg Institute has developed in partnership with premier companies, university faculty, and business professionals around the world. The test is designed for undergraduates and recent graduates who are interested in an entry‐level job in the business world.
The BAT aids employers in identifying and screening students who wish to pursue a career in the business world. Test takers should have a general understanding of and familiarity with current events in business, finance, and economics; however, much of what is being assessed is a person’s aptitude and skills to be successful in business.
The test sections are:
- Finance knowledge and aptitude (micro economics, macro economics, investment banking, investment management, financial markets, corporate valuation, financial statements)
- Career skills and aptitude (situational and ethical judgment, verbal skills, ethical standards, math skills)
