LAU Excels in the BLOMINVEST Virtual Stock Exchange Competition
LAU marks a successful participation in this year’s BLOMINVEST Virtual Stock Exchange (VSE) Competition by Blom Bank, an experience that reinforced the value of applied learning and student initiative.
Held on November 19, the competition advanced to its next stages as several LAU students moved forward following a competitive internal round, demonstrating strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Representing the university at the national level, economics student Evan Kamel joined finalists from five Lebanese universities and delivered a clear, well-structured presentation at the BLOMINVEST headquarters. His second-place nationwide ranking stands as a meaningful outcome of his preparation, discipline and engagement throughout the competition.
In addition, banking and finance student Saad Al Ahmadieh received the Campus Leader Award, recognizing his role in supporting coordination efforts and encouraging student participation throughout the competition.
This achievement reflects the efforts of the participating students, supported by faculty from the Department of Finance and Accounting at the Adnan Kassar School of Business and the AKSOB Career Office, whose guidance helped ensure a well-structured and constructive learning experience.
