Supervised by Assistant Professor of Operations and Production Management Dr. Joelle Nader at LAU, postdoctoral fellow Dr. Yara Salem won the AUF – Dolla Karam Sarkis Prize 2025 for their work on converting brewer’s spent yeast into bioactive compounds using a patented green process. “The recognition underscores LAU’s commitment to green technologies and sustainable innovation,” said Dr. Nader. The prize, awarded by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, celebrates research addressing national and societal needs.
