LAU Students Advance in National Competition

Three LAU teams have reached the final round of the national “Unleash Your Creativity” competition, organized by the Fernand Hosri Group, out of 70 teams and eight universities across Lebanon. Tasked with creating campaigns for the Empowering Young Women Association (EYWA) —a nonprofit organization that supports underprivileged women in gaining access to education and the labor market—the students channeled creativity into purpose. They developed creative and cost-effective marketing communication strategies to raise awareness, attract volunteers and donors and expand EYWA’s community outreach. Representing both Beirut and Byblos campuses, they gained hands-on experience through intensive workshops and the support of their faculty members. More than a contest, this experience became a chance to champion social change and showcase the values and proficiency of LAU’s next generation of communicators.

The first team from the Beirut campus included Georgette Issa, Rouwa Al-Khatib, Abdallah Almomani, and Moussa Khalife, while the second team included Raghad Jaber, Tatyana Naofal, and Joudi Dbouk. Mariane Chahine, Yendi Richa, Tatiana El Murr, and Marie Jose Youssef were part of the Byblos campus team.

All teams were supervised throughout the projects by Assistant Professor of Practice Joelle Majdalani, Adjunct Practice Instructor Nadia Azzam, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing Lara Khabbaz.
