The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Adnan Kassar School of Business promotes within its student body a culture of discipline, practical training and focus on high quality to prepare hospitality management students for success in a competitive and standards-driven industry.
For the third year in a row, our hospitality management students were among the top 3 in an internationally recognized competition for hospitality management schools in lebanon. This year, third-year student Elie Saade and second-year student Hiba Stouhi demonstrated the skillset acquired from their learning and training, and managed to impress the judges in the yearly competition organized by the Lebanese Academy of Gastronomy.
The candidates competed with other shortlisted students from different universities in Lebanon and were evaluated on an individual basis by a jury of acclaimed chefs for the execution, taste and display of the same pre-chosen gastronomic platters including desserts. The monetary prizes were according to rank and first prize to Saade also involved a month of paid training at a five-star restaurant.
Our students’ delicious execution and exquisite presentation of the platters which guaranteed their win were a result of their hard work as well as of the continual support and dedication of the department’s team and faculty.
The school is always proud of its students who are showcasing talent, professionalism and high performance in local and international competitions, and is dedicated to preparing them to be lifelong winners on all levels.
