Beirut Economics Research Seminar Series

The LAU Department of Economics is pleased to announce the co-organizing of the Beirut Economics Research Seminar Series for the Spring 2025 semester. This series is a joint initiative between the Department of Economics at LAU and the Department of Economics at AUB.

Sessions will be held every two weeks from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. alternating between the LAU and AUB campuses. The series serves as a meeting point for economists in Beirut, with each session scheduled to allow participants and the guest speaker time for informal discussions at the end of the seminar. The seminar series is generously funded by the AKSOB Dean’s office at LAU and the FAS Dean’s office at AUB.

The contact person for the Beirut Economics Research Seminar Series at LAU is Dr. Jamal Haidar.
