Ghassan Haddad serves as Chief of Staff to Lebanon’s Minister of Tourism, where he leads institutional reform, digitization and modernization efforts in one of the country’s largest economic sectors.
Prior to entering public service, Haddad was Vice President of Public Policy and Communications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Lime, managing a team of more than 20 government relations and communications professionals across over 30 countries. He helped shape regulatory frameworks, secured major market wins including Paris and advised senior executives on political strategy and risk.
He previously spent several years at Uber, leading public policy teams across Western Europe and the Middle East. There, he advanced key reforms that generated tens of thousands of economic opportunities and played a central role in reshaping the company’s political standing in France and Southern Europe, including securing its first meeting with President Emmanuel Macron.
Earlier in his career, Haddad worked in management consulting, advising Middle Eastern governments on strategy, economic policy and performance management.
He holds a Master of Science in International Strategy and Economics from the University of St Andrews and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from the University of Sheffield. He speaks six languages and maintains a strong interest in culture, history and global affairs.
