Message from the Director of the MBA Program

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the MBA program at the Adnan Kassar School of Business 

An MBA is a serious commitment of time and money, so let me tell you plainly what we are trying to accomplish. We aim to develop managers who can think clearly under pressure, read a set of numbers and know what questions to ask, and make sound decisions when the information in front of them is incomplete. That last skill is not an abstraction in this part of the world. Our graduates learn to manage in conditions that many business schools can only describe in a case study.

Our students come from business and non-business backgrounds alike, and that mix is deliberate. An engineer, an accountant and a technical professional sitting on the same team can learn more by working through a problem together than any of them would alone. Whether you study full time or part time, our classes are scheduled with professional commitments in mind, and we expect you to bring the challenges you encounter at work into the classroom. The discussion is stronger when it is grounded in real experience.

The Adnan Kassar School of Business is AACSB-accredited, making it part of a select group of AACSB-accredited business schools worldwide. We hold ourselves to that standard in the classroom, not only on paper. Our faculty are active in research and practice and accessible to students. Students work alongside them on projects and, in some cases, publications. A number of our graduates have also gone on to pursue doctoral studies at leading universities abroad.

We continually update our electives to respond to changes in the market, regularly bring practitioners into the classroom and build our assessments around real organizations and real challenges. Being part of the Lebanese American University also opens doors beyond Lebanon, including through LAU’s presence in New York and its broader international reach.
