The Curriculum

Foundations
Months 1–4

Accounting for Executives, Applied Economics, Statistics for Decision-Making, Organizational Behavior. The shared vocabulary of senior leadership. Includes the Byblos Leadership Retreat weekend.

Functions
Months 5–9

Corporate Financial Strategy, Executive Marketing, Executive Operations, Strategic HR. Core functional depth through an executive lens.

Strategy and Global Module
Months 10–14

Corporate Strategy, Innovation Management, and a 6-day International Residency — New York where feasible, otherwise London, Paris, Beirut, Dubai, or Singapore. Includes the Byblos Strategy Integration weekend.

Capstone
Months 15–18

Electives tailored to your trajectory + a strategic project defended before a panel of faculty, alumni, and industry.

If your elective choices align with a concentration, you will graduate with both the EMBA and the corresponding executive certificate. Those who choose electives across disciplines graduate with the EMBA in General Management.

The New York Week

Every cohort travels together for one signature international residency, included in tuition. Each cohort’s residency destination is confirmed at the start of the program. Priority is given to this location. From the LAU New York Debbane Campus, our cohorts have unique access to Wall Street, Manhattan-based fintech, AI labs, and our own alumni reception. Finance  •  NYSE and Wall Street
Welcome briefing at LAU New York. Afternoon on Wall Street: private briefing at the New York Stock Exchange—the trading floor, the opening bell—followed by a session with senior bankers at a major US investment bank on capital markets, M&A, and emerging-market strategy.

Tuesday

Fintech and the future of money
Company visits to a New York-based fintech scale-up and a digital-banking leader. How payments, lending, and crypto infrastructure are being rebuilt—and what it means for a regional bank in Beirut or Dubai.

Wednesday

Madison Avenue • Brand and consumer marketing
Briefing at a top-tier US marketing or advertising agency. How American brands build consumer trust at scale, and a case study with a Chief Marketing Officer on the shift from broadcast to data-driven media.

Thursday

Supply chain operations + AI lab visit
Morning at a global logistics or supply-chain operator—how goods actually move across the Atlantic. Afternoon at an AI research lab or enterprise-AI company: what large-language-model deployment looks like inside a Fortune-500 organization.

Friday

Columbia module + LAU New York alumni reception
Morning half-day at Columbia Business School on corporate governance and US regulatory frameworks. Evening reception at a Manhattan venue with the 800+ LAU alumni across the tri-state area—bankers, founders, doctors, lawyers, and creative leaders.

The Signature International Residency 

When New York is not feasible for a given cohort, the residency is delivered in another global business capital—LondonCapital markets, fintech, and the architecture of global finance, ParisLuxury, family business, and the European boardroom , BeirutA deep-immersion residency in Lebanon’s commercial capital, anchored by sessions with regional CEOs, ministers, and family-business principals , DubaiSovereign capital, giga-projects, and the Gulf growth story , or SingaporeAsia-Pacific finance, sovereign wealth, and the world’s leading sustainability hub —selected to match the cohort’s professional priorities.

The Heritage Experience

The program includes two unique cultural tours designed and led by LAU historians and local experts, guiding participants through 7,000 years of Mediterranean civilization.

Byblos Orientation Weekend

One of the oldest continuously-inhabited cities in the world. UNESCO World Heritage since 1984. The city that gave the Phoenician alphabet to humanity — and with it, the foundation of every written language from English to Arabic.

  1. The Crusader Citadel — Private access to the 12th-century fortress overlooking the Mediterranean, with an LAU historian.
  2. The Phoenician Harbor and Temple of the Obelisks — The birthplace of maritime trade. Bronze Age ruins with a scholar’s commentary on the first commercial networks
  3. The Old Souk and Roman Theater — Lunch in the restored stone souk, followed by a walk through the Roman colonnade and sunset at the harbour.
  4. Dinner with alumni and business leaders — Curated dinner at a historic Byblos villa, with LAU EMBA alumni and regional business leaders.


Beirut Orientation Weekend

A city that has been destroyed and rebuilt seven times over three millennia, and each time returned as one of the Mediterranean’s most vital commercial capitals. Not a lesson in nostalgia — a lesson in resilience, in markets, and in the power of place.

  1. Downtown and the Roman Baths  — The rebuilt commercial heart — ancient Roman ruins surrounded by 21st-century financial towers
  2. Martyrs’ Square and the Corniche — The symbol of modern Lebanese independence — with a private briefing on the political economy of reconstruction.
  3. The National Museum — The most important archaeological museum in the Levant, curated specifically for our cohort by its senior conservator.
  4. Mar Mikhael and Gemmayzeh — the creative quarter — An evening through Beirut’s entrepreneurial district, meeting founders of the region’s fastest-growing startups.

All pathways are AACSB-accredited, taught by the same faculty and industry practitioners, and designed for the realities of senior professional life.
