Bio
Josiane Fahed-Sreih is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Management at the Lebanese American University. She is the founder and Director of LAU’s Institute of Family and Entrepreneurial Business and a former Assistant Dean of the School of Business. With a Ph.D. from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University, she also serves as the Middle East Coordinator for the Family Firm Institute, USA, and is a recipient of its 2007 International Award. As a pioneer in family business and corporate governance in Lebanon and the Middle East, Dr. Fahed-Sreih consults on family wealth, boards management, Family Business management and management across the region and has published extensively, including books with Palgrave Macmillan and Cambridge Scholars. She is also a keynote speaker, board member, and editorial reviewer for leading family business and corporate governance journals.

Consulting Activities
- Consultant of a number of managerial projects, family business management, proper board functioning and corporate governance in Lebanon and the Middle East.
- Helped companies establish their family constitutions and develop family meetings and family retreats.
- Worked with a number of family businesses on issues including generational transitions, family dividends policies, family conflict of interest policies and much more.
- Educated younger generations of family businesses in the management of family councils, family meetings and family retreats, and management transfers by the family.
- Created functional Boards of Directors.
- Created full-fledged family governance programs.
- Currently sits on four boards of directors, three as a shareholder and one as an independent advisor.
- Currently Chair of the Board- Retail Business- Lebanon
- Sits on Boards of Community Service Organizations.
- Consulted for Ernst & Young on Family Business Management.
