LAU’s Economics Department Connects Students to Their Future
Offering its students the opportunity to explore career paths firsthand, the Department of Economics at LAU held an Economics Networking Event on April 16, 2025, during which they engaged with experts from over 20 organizations in the private sector, government, NGOs, and think tanks.The highlight of the day was a panel titled “Next-Gen Economies: Insights on Work, Technology, and Institutional Reform in Lebanon and the Arab Region,” where speakers from organizations such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Trade, ESCWA, the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan, Audi Bank and Lebanon’s Central Administration of Statistics talked about the future of work, technology and reform in Lebanon and the Arab region.
The event allowed students to learn how to negotiate a shifting labor market, providing real-world insights and inspiration from leaders working on solutions to contribute to a better future.
