Borders and Governance: A Beirut Economics Research Seminar Talk
As part of the Beirut Economics Research Seminar Series—co-organized by the LAU Department of Economics and the AUB Department of Economics—LAU hosted Dr. Adeel Malik from the University of Oxford on November 5. His talk, titled “Frontier Rule and Conflict,” explored how governance across contested borders shapes development outcomes. Bringing together students, faculty and researchers, the seminar fostered meaningful academic dialogue and reinforced the series’ role in advancing economics scholarship in Lebanon through institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange.
