Welcome to the Department of Marketing

It is a privilege to welcome you to a department committed to advancing marketing education, strengthening research, and preparing students to succeed in a rapidly evolving global marketplace. Over the past year, we have continued to modernize our academic offerings in response to developments in the field, completing revisions to both the Minor in Digital Marketing and the Minor in Fashion Marketing while developing a new MS program in marketing.

Our curriculum combines current theory with hands-on application in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital strategy, brand management, and sales. Students put their knowledge into practice through real-world case studies, industry competitions, flipped classrooms, and direct engagement with business leaders. This emphasis on experiential learning and career readiness prepares our graduates to pursue opportunities at leading international and local firms, as well as advanced studies at universities across North America and Europe.

At the heart of our academic community is our accomplished faculty, which includes scholars recognized among the top 2 percent of scientists. Over the past year, faculty members have produced research published in leading peer-reviewed international marketing and business journals. Their scholarship contributes to industry practice and policymaking while creating opportunities for students to engage in research and benefit from faculty mentorship.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to advancing marketing education, expanding our research efforts , and strengthening connections between academic learning and industry practice. I invite you to explore our website and faculty profiles to learn more about our academic community, scholarly contributions and programs. Together, we will continue to create opportunities for our students, advance knowledge, and contribute meaningfully to the marketing profession.

Omar S. Itani, Ph.D.
Chairperson, Department of Marketing
